Enoc Perez
Enoc Perez is a contemporary Puerto Rican artist best known for his paintings of architectural monuments that capture their utopian ideals. Perez was born in 1967 in Puerto Rico as the son of an art critic; he spent most of his childhood vacations visiting art museums and learning art history. After moving to New York as a young man, he found himself inspired by the silkscreen works of Andy Warhol. He earned a BFA degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and went on to receive an MFA in Fine Arts from Hunter College in New York, NY. Much of Perez's intent is to convey pleasure and beauty to the viewer with his works.
